It happens to every parent in the world. Your kid wakes up in the middle of the night – screaming his lungs out. You’re panicking and your imagination goes wild…Did he/she hurt him/herself? What happened to my kid?

Animated in Storyboard Pro. I put my little boy behind the mic for some good screaming.

The idea is based on a real experience. It happened one time that he woke us up – screaming – just to tell us about a Maya the Bee episode. ‘Willy is stuck in the bottle daddy! And Maya has to save him.” But recently he’s been dropping his pants doing the bubble butt dance.

Animation, stop motion

My first professional stop motion job!

Very short though but a lot of fun to work on. I planned and directed the animation on set and did most of the preproduction. The very talented Dries Bastiaensen helped me out with building armatures and with the animation. We did some long hours…Our hand model had to come to the studio around midnight to catch some cookies. Kudos to Isabelle! We also had an amazing and patient DOP, mister Tielevisie!

We had to do a lot of post production done by Jan Daghelinckx, Kristel Dom and a tiny bit by yours truly.

So yeah…A short clip but lots of people were involved in the end 🙂
